Brimingwith is concerned about the erosion of democracy particularly as it relates to police action and actions of the accused. Telling the accused why they are being arrested or detained is good sense practice to defuse a situation allowing the police person and the accused to focus on the statute as opposed to the participants.

Title of Bill: Sandra Bland Why Law
- During a traffic stop or any stop by police persons resulting in
an up-charge for example a transition from a written warning to a
felony, the police person should tell the civilian why they are being
detained or arrested. Not only should they tell the civilian why, but
they should also cite the statute for which they are being arrested or detained
and provide an evidence statement. The accused is also read the Miranda
statement. The entire transaction
is recorded.
